Karin J. Rodney-Haapala is a visual artist, classical musician and student of life. She has a Bachelors of Arts. from the University of Alaska Anchorage, in History and Strategic Communications. During her studies at the University of Alaska Anchorage, she focused on art of Western European countries such as Germany during World War II.
As a Combat Veteran of the United States Air Force, Karin pursued photography seriously while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad, Iraq. Relocating back to the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area, Karin became involved in the visual arts and art education seriously at the Corcoran College of Art and Design, in Washington, D.C. In 2013, she received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photojournalism. In 2014, she received a Masters of Arts in Teaching.
