The Last Sunday: An Evening of Poetry and Art

The Last Sunday (TLS), co-produced by J.W. Gardner (veteran, U.S. Army) through his company Working Class Productions, Bobby “Agent Motion” Strahan and the United States Veterans Artists’ Alliance, is a monthly presentation of poetry, spoken word, and story-telling accompanied by works of fine art and photography, music, and one-act theater productions held on the last Sunday of each month from 6 to 9:30 p.m.

Each show features one or two poets and storytellers and includes an open mic portion that provides anybody in attendance an opportunity to read or perform their work in the intimate USVAA Theater. The room is a warm and welcoming space for high quality productions; the TLS producers and performers work to build a community of artists at USVAA and beyond.

TLS is free to all with donations requested. A portion of all funds collected at TLS are donated to the City of Los Angeles in an effort to alleviate homelessness among veterans.
